My husband died recently and Hall-Wynne Funeral Services was with me every step of the way. Usually several steps ahead anticipating every question or need to arise. They were so kind, thoughtful, experienced they turned that time of grieving into a time of celebrating my husband’s life. Suggestions were timely, fineness in a calm, caring demeanor. My husband had an arranged his funeral 10 years ago. Hall-Wynne followed his vision and we were very pleased. I willbrfoing the same arrangement soon for myself.

Everyone at Hall-Wynne was so kind to us from the first phone call. They did an excellent job with carrying out our Mother's wishes. Tyler, Jessica, and Nancy were so helpful in making a painful time go as smoothly as possible. They are top notch.

Based on their reviews, I have no doubt that Hall Wynne provides excellent funeral services to the bereaved, but in conjunction with Tri CityTowing, their predatory towing practices toward the general public in the parking lot of their business are pretty disappointing. Last Friday night i parked in the Hall Wynne Funeral Home lot for less than ten minutes to pick up a to go order next door. When i came out, my car was already on the tow hook. The surly, unpleasant driver told me that it would cost $100 to release my car and $265 if he towed it a few blocks to their facility on Trinity Avenue. This amounts to highway robbery or legal loan-sharking. It should be illegal to charge such exorbitant rates and at best is unethical and immoral..Businesses have a right to protect their parking lots no matter how petty, selfish and unnecessary that may seem long after normal business hours, but to charge these rates is unconscionable and downright mean-spirited on the part of both the business owner and the towing company. It’s a cash cow for TrivCity, who must be kicking back a substantial portion to Hall Wynne. Both should be ashamed of themselves! Finally,my vehicle has all-wheel drive and should only be towed by a roll-back. Dragging it by either the front or rear wheels could cause serious damage to the transmission. Apparently TriCity either doesn’t know this or doesn’t care. Had they actually towed my car this way and damaged it, I would have taken legal action against Tri-City and Hall Wynne. Both businesses claim to serve the community. That hardly seems to be the case in this instance, and plan to encourage everyone i know to avoid patronizing either in the future, As an addendum: I just read a review from another dissatisfied customer with a similar situation. Hall Wynne’sresponse was;“Regarding the towing, we do not have any control over the actions of the towing company, but we do understand that the cost of the tow can be overwhelming.” This is disingenuous and utter nonsense because: 1) Hall Wynne contracts with Tri-City and can therefore choose the hours of enforcement and discuss the extortionate amounts Tri City charges for towing vehicles off their lot, especially if it brings bad press to them. They could also engage another towing company with less predatory tactics. 2) What harm is there in allowing parking outside normal business hours (say between 9pm and 7am)? It’s a huge lot and would possibly avoid the ill will the current towing policy incurs unless you just don’t care about that.

They were great! They explained everything fully and were extremely caring! They took the time to deliver husbands ashes directly to me. Thanks to all!
